O'Donnell, Texas

The typical agricultural community on the table-flat South Plains of the Texas Panhandle was established in 1908 as a stop on the Panhandle & Santa Fe Railroad, and named for a railroad official.

O'Donnell is the hometown of the late Dan Blocker, "Hoss Cartwright" of the classic TV western "Bonanza." The star is remembered with a statue in the downtown park across from the museum.
