4 - 5 Blount County Quilters Guild Annual Quilt Show - This is our annual quilt show. It is held in the Quilter's Cottage at the beautiful Palisade's Park in Blount County, Alabama. All quilter's are invited to enter. Cash prizes for first place awards. Entries accepted Thursday. This is sponsored by the Blount County Quilter's Guild. We have entries from all over the U.S. We also have beautiful quality hand-quilted quilts and craft items for sale made by the ladies of the guild right here in Alabama! 9:00AM-4:00PM.

12 Annual Covered Bridge Festival - Known as the Covered Bridge Capital of Alabama, Blount County celebrates its roots with the Blount County Covered Bridge Festival in downtown Oneonta, Alabama. The annual Blount County Covered Bridge Festival offers many events and diverse activities including a golf tournament, beauty pageants, pancake breakfast, arts and crafts, a 5K and Fun Run, car show, motorcycle show, river walk, food, entertainment, quilt show, and plenty of activities for the kids. 9am.

28 Oneonta Country Christmas - We will begin celebrating the holidays in Oneonta on this day! Stroll the streets to check out the beautiful and creative ways that businesses have decked out their storefronts. Ring in the season of giving by checking out the local merchants who are hosting OPEN HOUSE to welcome you with refreshments and give you a chance to get a head start on your holiday shopping with a variety of merchandise and special deals! Feel the warmth of the season grow in your heart from the warm smiles of everyone you will meet!

Santa Claus will provide kids with a chance to tell him what they want for Christmas, and to pose for photos! A photographer will be on hand to take photos and provide you with CDs of all images before you leave! CDs are $10 per child/person. Or you can bring your own camera!

Santa will make a grand entrance! The Oneonta Fire Department will transport him on a shiny red fire truck to the Santa Station at 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 7. Come and help us give him a warm Oneonta welcome!
