The Acadia Ranch Museum is more than 123 years old. The Oracle Historical Society purchased and took up residence in Acadia Ranch in 1978. It was originally a sheep ranch which was later converted into a sanitarium for tuberculosis sufferers (then called 'lungers'.)
U.S. 89-Pinal Pioneer Parkway The parkway begins southwest of Oracle heading towards the town of Florence through 42 miles of high Sonoran Desert. This is part of the old highway between Phoenix and Tucson. The parkway was established in 1961
