1 - 31 Orange Beach 10 Km Walk - This is a 10 Km trail on paved and gravel streets and sidewalks through a residential area and past Orange Beach's Public Facilities. The walk includes Waterfront Park on the bay. Lovely walk for groups or families. Learn more about your vacation area! Ask for the Walk Box, register and take the written directions with you.
Walk is IVV sanctioned.

February

26 - 29 Presidents' Day Weekend Walks, Alabama Gulf Coast - Fourteen events: 7 walks ranging from 5 to 20 Km in length (something for everyone), 3 bike routes, 4 swims. All registration is at our host hotel, Hilton Garden Inn. Rooms with special rates are available. Participate in as many, or as few events as you wish. T shirts are available as well as Walking Awards. On Saturday night there will be a "Meet & Greet" (charge to be announced) so all paerticipants can get togther.
You may participate in any of the 14 events FREE or for IVV credit.

All events are IVV sanctioned.

29 Red Snapper World Championship - The largest bottom-fishing tournament in the world with tournament payouts in the amount of $155,000 guaranteed to the top 20 anglers and boats. Anglers also have a chance of winning $500,000 for a new world record, and a truck for a new state record. The tournament is attractive to all with the inexpensive entry fee of only $5 per day per angler. All proceeds go to deploying public reefs and supporting the recreational fishing industry.
