San Juan Odyssey - June through September. The Silver Anniversary Edition of the San Juan Odyssey is a multi-media presentation narrated by C.W. McCall. It showcases the mountains and wildflowers of the San Juan Mountains. It is shown every night at 7:30 from June through September.

1 - 4 Annual Ouray Ice Festival - Premiere ice climbing event. Internationally known as "leader of the pack." Open competition with qualifying rounds and finals. The Ouray Ice Festival is an international gathering of ice climbers, gear manufacturing exhibitors, and ice climbing voyeurs simply thrilled to watch at a safe distance from the precipitous edge. Events over this incredible weekend include various climbing clinics from beginning to advanced, an opportunity to check out and try the latest and greatest gear and catch up with some of the world's most famous and experienced climbers. During the Festival, we offer one of the best competition routes that continues to challenge the best climbers in the world.There are also live auctions, lectures, and more.

Come one, come all to the annual full-on, women's ice climbing festival! The Betty Ice Ball offers half-day ice climbing clinics at wicked affordable prices, yummy catered dinners, public events and a networking frenzy. We are offering the opportunity to be a "Chick" without having to sign up for one of our longer, standard, (more expensive) clinics. 14 Annual La Sportiva Ouray Mountain Trail Run - This run circumnavigates a 14 mile loop around the City of Ouray on USFS trails. The course follows steep and rugged, singletrack trails in the high altitude mountainous terrain around Ouray (base elevation 7,700-feet). The course gains over 3,600 vertical feet and includes many steep and loose sections. The run is scheduled to coincide with Ouray Oktoberfest for a relaxing and enjoyable evening!
