Panhandle, Texas

Panhandle was named for its location in the Texas Panhandle, and became the county seat upon the organization of Carson County in 1888. Wheat, cattle and petroleum products are among the commodities from this marketing and shipping center. The restored Santa Fe depot serves as city hall.
