Payson Parks The Payson Parks and Recreation Department manages and maintains over 150 acres of parkland for the benefit and enjoyment of its citizens and visitors alike. Please stop by and spend some time at our facilities – we know you'll like what you find.

Green Valley Park is a 40-acre passive park setting with picnic ramadas, over a mile of wandering 10-foot wide sidewalks, restrooms and a children's playground. The park also has over 13 surface acres of water divided into three man-made lakes. In coordination with Arizona Game and Fish and its Urban Fishing Program these lakes are stocked every three weeks with Rainbow Trout from October – May of each year. Green Valley Park also has a three-acre amphitheatre that plays host to the Town's Outdoor Concert Series, which are free to the public on Saturday evenings throughout the summer months.

Rumsey Park is an 80-acre facility dedicated to more active recreation in a wonderful forest setting. The park contains five picnic ramadas that range in seating capacity from 20 – 250 people. Other recreational features within Rumsey Park include 4 lighted tennis courts, three lighted softball fields with two additional fields under construction, two lighted state of the art synthetic grass soccer / football fields, public restroom facilities, a 250,000 gallon public swimming pool, a skate park, two lighted sand volleyball courts, a lighted outdoor basketball court, the Town Off Leash Area (Dog Park) and the Public Library.

Mustang Park is a small quarter acre neighborhood "pocket park". This park consists of a small picnic shelter, children's playground equipment and a half court basketball goal.
