Event Details
This site celebrates 2,000 years of Ohio's rich history from prehistoric Indians to the canal era. The focal point of the site is the 1829 restored home and farm of federal Indian agent John Johnston. Costumed tour guides and craft demonstrators provide tours of the farm area. Located behind the 1802 double-penned log barn is a 2,000-year-old prehistoric Indian mound.
Visitors won't want to miss taking a ride on the mule-drawn canal boat on a mile-long restored section of the Miami and Erie canal. Not far from the canal is the modern museum dedicated to Ohio's rich agricultural heritage.
