The area offers hiking, picnicking and a sanitation facility.WHITE PINES: Pisgah: From Brevard go N on US 276 for 6 miles to area. The area offers camping, drinking water, fishing, hiking and a sanitation facility.WISEMAN'S VIEW: Grandfather: From Linville Falls go E on NC 183 for .5 mile; turn right (S) on NC 1560 and go 4 miles to area. The area offers hiking and a sanitation facility.SILVERMINE GROUP CAMP: Appalachian: From Hot Springs go .5 mile W on US 25-70, turn left onto NC 1304 and take first left onto Silvermine Road. Follow Silvermine Road to the area. The area offers camping, a large covered picnic area, tent pads, fire pits, grills, sanitary facilities and a creed for wading. The area is a fee area and available by reservations only. POINTS OF INTERESTBROWN MOUNTAIN OVERLOOK: Grandfather: From Linville Falls go E on NC 183 for 4 miles; turn right (S) on NC 181 and go 7 miles to overlook.CURTIS CREEK AUTO TOUR: Grandfather: Take US 70 E from Old Fort for 1.7 miles; then turn N on Forest Service Rd. 482.LOOKING GLASS FALLS: Pisgah: Go N from Brevard on US 276 for 9.4 miles; a short trail leads from the parking lot to the base of the falls.PISGAH ECOLOGY TRAIL: Pisgah: Located behind Pisgah Ranger Station on US 276.
