The Salem County Historical Society is housed in four interconnected historic houses, the centerpiece of which is Alexander Grant's Mansion House (1721). The Grant House showcases the Museum's signature exhibits, including Salem in the Revolutionary War and Wistarburg Glass. The Josephine Jaquette Memorial Library contains extensive materials for genealogical and historical research. It maintains historic books, manuscripts, documents, scrapbooks, photographs and a microfilm library of old newspapers from throughout the county.
