Showcase of the Morgan Horse and Youth Activities Day
- A free family day. Come and see the real Morgan horse, ridden and at liberty demonstrations all day, too many youth and family activities to list, games and fun. The National Museum of the Morgan Horse is open with free admission too. Raffles include a Vermont Teddy Bear and others.

Vermont Symphony Orchestra Summer Festival Tour
- The VSO's TD Bank Summer Festival Tour brings picnicking, music, and fireworks to outdoor venues across the state. Broadway star Sara Jean Ford joins the VSO for hits from the Great American Songbook. Vocal numbers by Rodgers, Porter, and Gershwin share the spotlight with irresistible Benny Goodman big band tunes. Orchestral favorites from the world of opera add drama, fantasy, and exoticism to our songful theme. The concert closes with the traditional 1812 Overture, marches, and fireworks.

Annual Pie Fest & Cider House Run
- Start the day with a run through the orchard. Then you can enter, enjoy, or eat the homemade apple pies in the Pie Fest! 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
The Cider House Run/Walk (2 or 4 mile run/2 mile walk) begins at 11:00 a.m. Cost is $25 for anyone over 12 (includes a $5 Pick Your Own apples coupon). Kids under 12 are asked to pay $8 for the coupon. Please register by September 25 by calling Shelburne Health and Fitness at 985-4410. The Pie Fest consists of 3 local judges taste-testing 30 double crusted apple pies. You MUST register prior to the contest by contacting Megan at 864-7528 or firstname.lastname@example.org because entry slots fill up quickly. Once registered, you MUST arrive BY (meaning PRIOR TO) 11:30 or you will forfeit your spot!!! Judges then use their finely tuned palates to discover the winners among pies. First Place walks away with $200 cash.

Champlain Valley Quilters' Guild Annual Quilt Show - Inspired by Color
- Spectacular display of judged and non-judged quilts, theme challenge quilts, demonstrations. Special exhibits include: Quilts of Anne Standish & Students, Andre Emmell’s Quilts of Valor and Sue McGuire’s Friendship Quilts. Featuring a wide variety of quilting related products and services, handmade crafts for sale, gorgeous raffle quilt, raffle baskets and a popular scavenger hunt for children. Appraisals by appt. Refreshments available on site. Sat., 10am-5pm; Sun., 10am-4pm.
