Shinnston Independence Celebration

Annual Shinnston Community Band Independence Concert at Shinnston City Park. Concert starts at 7:00pm followed immediately by 45 minutes of Fireworks sponsored by the Shinnston Area Development Foundation.
Admission and parking free.
Directions: Exit #125 from I-79, go west to WV Rt 13

Drive-thru Nativity

Second Saturday in December from 6pm to 9pm The congregations of the Shinnston Parish create a series of live tableaux to tell the story of the Nativity.
Drive around the Common at Gypsy, WV in Harrison County to view the live tableaux of the story of the Nativity.

Shinnston City-Wide Yard Sale

8:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Yard sale and food.
Admission: Free.
Maps are created of the town and they list many of the yard sales. Maps are a fundraiser for the Lords Pantry Food Bank. Free maps are available in area businesses.
The city is one massive yard sale!
