Seymour, Texas

Located on the Brazos River in Baylor County, Seymour was established in 1879 by settlers from Oregon. Artist Tom Lea was contracted in April of 1941 to paint a mural for the Seymour Post Office depicting early life in Seymour and Baylor county when Comanche Indians were an integral part of life. The mural can be seen today in the Post Office building.

Available recreational activities include swimming, boating, tennis, and RV hookups. Salt Fork River Estates Golf Course is a new municipal facility offering a 9-hole golf course, swimming pool and fishing pond.
