Winters, Texas

Winters was first settled about 1880, and the post office was established in 1886 before the townsite was designated. It was incorporated in 1909 when the railroad built through and land value jumped to $7 per acre. Winters is now the commercial and distribution center for the large agricultural and ranching area.

Z. I. Hale Museum
