7 - 11AZ0413028e003 - Tubac Tubac Festival of the Arts - Held in the historic Village of Tubac, Arizona, the annual Festival of the Arts has a 62 year history as the Southwest's longest running arts festival.
The iconic festival runs concurrent with Tucson's internationally renowned Gem & Mineral Show which draws thousands of visitors from around the globe. Many visitors make both the Gem & Mineral show and the Tubac Festival of the Arts an annual destination.
Highlights of the Festival include more than 250 fine artists and craftsmen, a large assortment of festival eateries, live entertainment, and a wine and beer garden.
Exhibiting artists are integrated throughout the Village, along roadways and plazas and woven among the more than 125 art galleries, boutiques, specialty shops and restaurants - providing one of the most spectacular art settings in Arizona!

12 - 13 Anza Days - Anza Days is celebrated on the 3rd weekend in October with special events held at the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park. Juan Bautista de Anza, a captain on the Spanish frontier, led an expedition of soldiers, padres, 300 men, women, and children from Tubac. The expedition established missions along the California coast all the way to San Francisco. Horses, food, and fun abound.

22 - 24AZ0413028e001 - Tubac Tubac Fine Art & Wine Fiesta - The Tubac Art & Wine Fiesta continues its 62 year tradition of art events held in the Village of Tubac, located in Southern Arizona. Two main Festivals are held annually in this unique art colony, The internationally acclaimed Tubac Festival of Arts, is the Southwest’s longest running arts festival, held each February in conjunction with the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show. In the Fall, visitors flock to the Village for the Art & Wine Fiesta celebrating the beginning of the Holiday shopping season.
Acres of green land and the gorgeous Santa Cruz River add the natural beauty to this location, while buildings dating back to the mid-18th century add a more modern yet interesting touch. The myriads of artwork on display around the village allows locals and visitors to get an insight into the history of this place, as well as being aesthetically pleasing to look at. Loaded with gift shops and galleries, it’s a great place for everybody to browse and shop, particularly if you are interested in American history. Many visitors find beautiful souvenirs and gifts which they can take back home to their family members and friends after their trip.
When visiting Tubac for the first time, people notice the beautiful trees which are on display almost everywhere you look. Cottonwood, acacia and mesquite trees are just a few of the varieties of plants which you will observe while you’re strolling through this village, and the fact that the fort was built on a chaparral is the reason for the abundance of plant life.
Within Arizona, Tubac is the only real artist’s colony which remains, making it very special and unique. Apart from those who have lived there for their entire lives, many painters, sculptors and artists are attracted to this village for obvious reasons. Boasting over 130 galleries, boutiques, plazas, specialty shops, a wine tasting room, and one-of-a-kind restaurants.
Festival highlights include fine arts and crafts booths, wine tastings, food concessions, and live music – all located throughout the village roads and scenic plazas. Great for a day trip, but you may want to consider a stay at the beautiful Tubac Resort or one of many quaint inns located in the Village.

29 - 30 Tubac Luminaria Nights - The village of Tubac will be filled with beautiful holiday lights and music, and galleries and shops and restaurants will be open, Friday and Saturday from 5-9pm. There will be caroling in the streets, music, and more.
