Waco Lake Hunting Waco Lake offers a wide variety of hunting opportunities including: dove, early teal, duck, archery, deer gun season, and spring turkey hunting. There are 9 Wildlife Management Areas that consist of approximately 2,000 acres of land. These areas are on the North Bosque River and South Bosque Rivers. Duck Hunting is primarily done on the waters of Lake Waco.
