Willa Cather Pioneer Memorial

category : Memorials
Willa Cather Pioneer Memorial The Art Gallery and Bookstore, located two doors south of the Cather Historical Center on main street, carries the country's most complete selection of Willa Cather's novels, short stories, biographies, and critical works about her.

Original oil paintings by John Blake Bergers are on permanent exhibit. These pictures visually represent different scenes from Willa Cather's novels.

Annually, on the first Saturday of May, the Foundation sponsors a 1-1/2 day conference on Willa Cather. A tour, panel discussion, banquet and entertainment are typical. Other educational seminars and workshops are sponsored by the Foundation in cooperation with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln or University of Nebraska-Kearney.

Pre-arranged group tours of the town and country Cather sites, including the NSHS owned properties, are available through the Foundation. Town and country tour maps are available for a self-guided tour through Catherland from WCPM.
