William B. Umstead State Park

Over 5,500 acres of natural area located in Wake County between Glenwood Ave/Hwy 70 and I-40. The park offers hiking trails, bridle and bike trails, 28 campsites, plus group camping facilities which are available to non-profit organizations. There is also rowboat and canoe rental during the summer and picnic tables scattered under the trees.
