Exhibitions of traditional and contemporary art by local, regional and national African American artists. This center also houses the Annette Lewis Phinazee African American Archives and Resource Center including the William Tucker collection devoted to works by African American authors and illustrators of children’s books. The St. Joseph Performance Hall, located in the 1891 brick sanctuary that includes a stained-glass portrait of Washington Duke, offers a variety of performances.
