Gosper County Carnival
Elwood also boasts it own home-based, annual Lions/Gosper County Carnival held the last weekend of July. It’s an excellent place to bring your kids to enjoy the rides (only 75 cents per ticket), visit the many booths and sample the goodies at the food stand. The Lions Club, residents of Elwood and the surrounding community provide many volunteer hours setting up the carnival, purchasing prizes, preparing food, scheduling workers to operate the rides and tearing down.
