There are deer to be seen with the best area typically being the locust grove below the dam. As you boat or hike look for beaver signs where trees line the banks. When fall comes so do Geese, ducks, and occasionally pelicans. Eagles often use the lake as their wintering area. There is a variety of other birds and wildlife that can be observed throughout the year.
