Pine Flat Lake, CA

Pine Flat Lake is located in the oak-covered foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, approximately 35 miles east of Fresno, California. The construction of the 429 foot tall Pine Flat Dam on the Kings River was completed in 1954. When completely full, Pine Flat Lake is 20 miles long, holds 1,000,000 acre feet of water, and covers 5,790 acres with 67 miles of shoreline. The lake offers boating, fishing, hunting, waterskiing, camping, hiking, wildlife viewing, and a 3 mile-long mountain bike trail with beautiful views of the lake. Hundreds of thousands of people take part in recreational activities at Pine Flat Lake each year.

At an elevation of just under 1,000 feet above sea level, Pine Flat Lake normally offers mild fall and winter seasons with an average rainfall of 18 inches and high temperatures in the mid 60*s. Spring weather averages in the 70*s and 80*s with occasional April showers. Summer seasons have an average high temperature in the mid 90*s to low 100*s from mid-June through the end of September.
