El Dorado Lake Camping A variety of campsites are available in El Dorado State Park. Nearly 1,100 campsites in four campgrounds offer visitors utility hookups or primitive sites. Primitive camping is restricted to designated sites; please take your trash with you.

The Walnut River Campground is located below the dam and offers full utility hookup campsites and several shower houses.

The Bluestem Point Campground is the most diverse with primitive sites up to full hookup sites available, as well as camping cabins.

Shady Creek and Boulder Bluff Campgrounds are more primitive but still offer shower houses.

Some of the campsites are available on a reservation basis. Seven shelter houses and five cabins are available for reservation. There is also a designated campground where horses are permited.

Other facilities include two swimming beaches, each with a restroom/showerhouse; the Shady Creek Marina; a large amphitheater with an indoor and outdoor stage; six boat ramps with courtesy docks; and several trails for hikers, bikers and horse riders.

Rent ? A- Camp Program
For those visitors that need camping gear, the Rent ? A- Camp Program provides tents, stoves, lanterns and other camping supplies for a modest fee from the park office. All you need to do is have fun!
