The Chili Cook-Off at the Creek County Fairgrounds is a fund raiser to benefit people receiving supported employment services. Local businesses and friends of the program are sponsors of the Chili Cook-Off. Creek County involvement continues to grow.

Make note here that I made an error putting 2010 instead of 2009 for the cook off date. This event happens on the downtown Altus square every year around October the first (1st), You and your family can purchase a large to-go type container and walk from booth to booth to booth to get some interesting chili and BBQ, with beans and Lord knows what else. Just be sure to bring an antacid! The food is great! If you watch the slidw show, and you were there when we were, you might see yourself!
