Haying with Horses

The Jefferson County Historical Society will host an event to display the process of how hay was farmed by our forefathers. The prairie hay field South of Old Jefferson Town will be cut on Friday afternoon and raked on Saturday with draft horses. Projected times for the event will be 11:00 a.m.to 3:00p.m. (please understand the time will be depending on dampness in air, ground, etc) This will be a wonderful opportunity to see this process in action.
