Memories of Days Gone By is featuring Nebraska Spirit: The North Platte Canteen, Memorial Service, WWII Songs, Displays of weapons, memorabilia, publications.

Pioneer Panorama
The annual two-day event in June, the Pawnee Pioneer Panorama celebration starts with a "fly-in breakfast" at the municipal airport just west of town. The historical society's buildings are transformed into a "living pioneer village"

The National Register Historic District in Pawnee City is the economic and geographic center of the community. Fifty-two properties are included in the district and consist of forty- seven commercial building, four houses, and the Pawnee City Courthouse.
