Academy Hill Historic District


category : Historic Districts
Focal points are the Mulberry Street School and the Statesville Male Academy, from which it takes its name. Most of the district was farm land at the time the Statesville Male Academy started holding classes. By the time Mulberry Street School was finished in 1892, the area started building up.
