Apache Greyhound Park

While legends of lost gold and hidden treasures still manage to lure adventurers to the Superstition Mountains in Apache Junction, Arizona, one of America's great western towns, thousands of visitors and residents stake claim to another shining jewel in the desert, Apache Greyhound Park.

Goldfield Ghost Town

In the 1890s, Goldfield was a booming community. The first gold-strike was made in 1892, and it took just a little under a year before the town came to life. One rich strike after another supported the town and approximately 4000 people who lived in the district for five rich years.

Weaver's Needle

Weaver's Needle is a prominent pinnacle that towers over much of the region east of Superstition Mountain and had played a major role in the legend of the Dutchman's Lost Mine. This famous landmark was named after Pauline (Paulino)
