Aransas Pass, Texas

Named for the pass between Mustang and St. Joseph islands, the city of Aransas Pass is located on the mainland, but is connected to Mustang Island and Port Aransas by a causeway and ferry. Shrimping and commercial and sport fishing are the top area industries. Waterfowl hunting is the sport of season with guide services available.

Visit Conn Brown Harbor, south from Stapp Aveue, and at the harbor entrance, see the Seamen's Memorial Tower, dedicated to fishermen lost at sea. The "Official Shrimporee of Texas" celebrating the area's long-standing ties to the shrimping industry is a three-day celebration held every September.
