Located just 17 miles north of Fredonia, Cross Timbers State Park is in the region once known to early pioneers as the Cross Timbers area, named for the vast areas of blackjack oak that covered the landscape.
The park includes five recreation area surrounding Toronto reservoir, accessed by Hwy. 105. Facilities include boat ramps, hiking trails, ancient tree trails, improved campsites, modern restroom facilities and more.
