A scaled-down replica of the nation's Capitol in Washington, DC. Construction started in 1899 and the Arkansas legislature continues to meet in the historical building. Located on the grounds are several monuments: Vietnam Veterans; Arkansas Police Officer Killed in Action; Confederate Soldiers Monument; Monument to Confederate Women; Confederate War Prisoners Marker.

Free tours available Monday through Friday from 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and self-guided tours on weekends and holidays from 10:00 A.M to 3:00 P.M. Call (501) 682-5080 to schedule a tour.
