Directions: The forest is located 100 miles north of Little Rock. It's primarily on Highways 14 and 5, 7 miles north of Mountain View. Blanchard Springs Caverns, within the forest, is located on Highway 14, 15 miles northwest of Mountain View.

Some 130,000 acres of hardwood forests, spring-fed creeks, two adjoining rivers, grassy meadows, limestone bluffs and Blanchard Springs Caverns make up the Sylamore District. Campsites at Blanchard Springs, Gunner Pool, Barkshed; hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking. GROUPS: call ahead for Caverns tours group rates; check locally for motorcoach parking availability.
