Historic floods during the summer of 1993 surged over the emergency spillway and eroded a 15-foot deep channel, exposing the underlying bedrock. Visitors can walk over acres of Devonian Age sea floor and get a first-hand look at fossils normally hidden from view. Gorge open dawn-dusk daily.
