Built in 1906, Thomas County Courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Romanesque Revival style building is graced by the "Spirit of the Prairie" statue, a centennial project, and Memorial Wall in honor of Thomas Countians who gave their lives in service of their country.

Lone Star Presbyterian Church

The Lone Star Presbyterian Church denotes the strong religious faith of the settlers. The Charming white country church was built in 1915 north of Gem, Kansas. In 1988, the building was moved to the museum site. It was the third time the building had been moved.
