Runge Nature Center
The center includes a 3,000 sq. ft. exhibit hall, a large fish aquarium, wildlife viewing area and five hiking trails.
BIRD WATCHING – (A list of 100 species have been recorded from the area. Get the Audubon Society of Missouri Conservation Area Bird List.)
DEMONSTRATIONS – (Native prairie, marsh, glades, backyard demonstrations, savanna, flowering meadows, formal garden)
EXHIBITS/DISPLAYS – (3,000 sq. ft. of exhibits that highlight Missouri habitats; 3,580 gal. aquarium, live animals including amphibians and reptiles, rotating lobby exhibits)
HIGHLIGHTED ACTIVITIES – (Special events and general public programs are listed in a free bimonthly newsletter.)
HIKING – (Five hiking trails. See trail section.)
NATURE VIEWING – (General nature viewing including a wide variety of wildflowers.)
TOURS – (Naturalist led programs for families, scouts, schools, community groups, scheduled monthly programs and events.)
