For a beautiful perspective, travel the 41 mile Cherohala Skyway that connects Hwy 143 from Robbinsville to Hwy 165 in Tellico Plains, TN. Called a mini-Blue Ridge Parkway, it follows the crest of the Unicoi Mtns. in the Cherokee and Nantahala National Forest, thus the name. Highest point 5,390 ft. Visitors enjoy majestic views of nature or picnic above the clouds at one of the many overlooks. Nature's beauty beyond compare!
