Designed by Albert Kahn and built in 1915, the Foxtrot Inn is located on six acres within the city limits of Tryon, NC. Mountain views are visible among old oaks, pines, hemlocks, mountain laurel & rhododendrons. The Inn is comfortably furnished in a traditional style with antiques. Hardwood floors and high ceilings add to an atmosphere of quiet elegance. A cozy fireplace warms the lobby during the winter months.The Cherry Room in the main house has a four-poster, queen size canopy bed with a sitting room overlooking the pool. The Oak Suite features a queen-size four-poster and includes a wood-paneled sitting room with additional bed and sleeper sofa. All rooms have private baths. The Guest Cottage has two bedrooms, one and a half baths, large living room with fireplace, fully equipped eat-in-kitchen, and deck with mountian view. Both buildings are air-conditioned.Tryon enjoys a long-standing equestrian events at FENCE, a 320-acre nature preserve, offer plenty of opportunities for the visitor to enjoy at their leisure. The Flat Rock Playhouse, Pearson's Falls, Chimney Rock Park, and the Biltmore House are popular spots within easy reach of the Foxtrot Inn.
