Located off Big Cove Rd. Mingo, on the Cherokee Indian Reservation, is one of the most fabulous falls in the whole Smoky Mountains area. To reach it, take US441 out of Cherokee. Just short of a mile after the junction with the Blue Ridge Parkway, turn right at the Job Corps Center sign. The road will end after a half-mile at Big Cove Road. Turn left and drive 3.3 miles to the Mingo Cove Campground and park. The trail is only a quarter-mile long, but the first part of it is very steep.
