Old St. Paul's Lutheran Church is a two-story log weathered-boarded church, featuring an impressive federal style interior including intricately carved sounding board and moldings and a slave balcony. Built in 1818, it remains the oldest existing church in North Carolina west of the Catawba River. Graveyard headstones date to the late 1700s.
