Duke Lemur Center

Research and study center. Tours are available by appointment only, Monday through Saturday or by calling the Center. Home to hundreds of prosimian primates including lemurs, lorises and bushbabies. Outside walking tour and inside viewing of nocturnal prosimians.

Lake Michie Recreation Area

Bird watching, boating/sailing, boat launches, boat rentals, camping, fishing, hiking, marina, picnic shelter, rock hounding. Open daily sunrise to sunset, March 1-June 30. Park access is free; fee charged for boating and fishing.

F.G. Hall Hyperbaric Center

Contains eight large pressure chambers used to simulate ocean and high altitude environments and treat patients with high pressure oxygen therapy. Center has conducted joint research with NASA, U.S. Navy and other international governmental agencies. Tours can be arranged.
