Overlooking the Great Miami River and downtown Dayton, The Dayton Art Institute's Italian Renaissance-style building houses an extensive permanent collection of American, European, Asian and African art. In addition, this mid-sized art museum hosts world-class special exhibitions and unique events throughout the year. The Experiencenter, the museum's hands-on gallery, is a must-see for families. Other visitor amenities include Cafe Monet, the Museum Store, the Lott Memorial Library and the Educator Resource Center.
