McGee Creek Fishing

McGee Creek Lake is a favorite destination for fishermen. It is well-stocked with all varieties of catfish, crappie, McGee Creek Lake’s smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and several varieties of perch. Although largemouth bass, also known as black bass, are present in the lake, they should not be kept or eaten if caught, due to the presence of a high level of mercury detected in the tissue. All other fish species may be kept and eaten.
