Located at the southern tip of the Grand Strand, Wedgefield Plantation was once a flourishing rice plantation on the Black River in historic Georgetown. The fairways wind through magnolias, dogwoods, century-old moss draped oaks, camellias, azaleas and a wide variety of wild flowers. Wildlife abounds in this beautiful and challenging golf course, complete with exemplary Southern hospitality. Recognized in Golf Week's America's Best as one of the top 50 golf courses in South Carolina for 1994, it is often referred to as "the jewel at the end of a strand of pearls." Wedgefield may well be "your best drive".
