This historic building serves as a genealogical and historical research center focusing on the Old 96 District. It is the headquarters for the Old Edgefield District Genealogical Society, the Old Edgefield District African American Genealogical Society, and the Edgefield Welcome Center.

Handicap accessible day use area, and fishing pier. Picnic area has tables grills, and group shelter. Bath house with flush toilets and showers. Camp sites have fire ring, table, no electricity. Self serve pay station - $3 parking, $7
