Cheraw features three equestrian trails, the Blue Trail, the White Trail, and the Sandhills Connector Trail. The Blue and White Trails are basically out and back, but you can ride out on one and return on the other. The Sandhills Connector connects to the Pine Barons Horse Trail where you can extend your ride to Sugarloaf Mountain or the H. Cooper Black Field Trial area. All three trails are occasionally unpaved roads, but you will ride through a variety of habitats amid shaded pine and oak forests. The trails occasionally run concurrent, so watch closely for the white, blue, or yellow and red blaze that marks the trail you are riding. You will see a wide variety of wildlife such as deer and wild turkeys, and you may also see a resident of this area, a speedy lizard called the sixlined racerunner.

Check with the park about horse requirements. No facilities are provided along the trails. Restrooms, water, and vending machines are available in the main park area. Camping is allowed near the trailhead.
