The Heritage Center on Johnson Creek

The Heritage Center on Johnson Creek is part of the Arlington Historical Society's Fielder House Museum Complex. Middle Tate Johnson was one of the first settlers in the Arlington area. The Heritage Center contains what remains of his plantation's cemetery, several cabins used by early settlers, and the North Side School house used for one term until a permanent school could be built. Teachers are encouraged to reserve the park and hold school in the old schoolhouse.


Admission: Museum Fees: Adults $3, Children ages 6-12 and Senior Citizens $1.50. Children under 6 are free.
Hours: The historical park is available for tours by appointment only.
