This is the opening day for the mansion house and barn. The program features crafts that would have been a way of life in 1870 at Adaland and include traditional cooking, weaving, basketmaking, wood working and more. Also, tours of house and barn. "History Alive" presentation included. Admission Fee- $10.00 (includes food and tours). Take exit 115 on I-79 to WV 20 and WV 57 to Philippi. Take US 119 North to WV 76 (left 1 mile on WV 76).
Live models in Civil War clothing with narration followed by full buffet tea in the dining room of the Mansion. Mansion and barn are open for tours. Reservations are required. Admission: $15.00 for tea and show Children under 12 years $6.00. Driving Directions: Take exit 115
