Battle of Washita Sculpture Inside the Roger Mills County Courthouse in Cheyenne is a breathtaking, life size sculpture in bronze entitled "The Washita." This sculpture was created by the artist Ernest Berke in 1984.

The sculpture "Washita" depicts an Indian woman carrying her baby while fleeing during the battle of the Washita. This was made as a commemoration to all the women who agonized and were killed in all wars.
