The market operates from 2:00PM-6:00PM every Saturday year round. Local produce, plants, crafts, art, and food are all sold in the town plaza and along the Market street sidewalks. Live music provides a fun atmosphere and market patrons are encouraged to hang around and grab dinner at one of the restaurants of Habersham Marketplace.

1 - 4SC0301001e005 - Beaufort Beaufort International Film Festival - The mission of the Beaufort International Film Festival is to enliven our community by fostering and developing a rich appreciation for the art of film making.

In 2010 the Sandbar Productions will present the fourth annual Beaufort International Film Festival. The purpose of the festival is to recognize aspiring filmmakers of almost every genre to include independent film, music, animation, short and long features,documentaries, and screenwriting.

It is also an opportunity to showcase the beautiful "film-friendly" region of Beaufort and the Carolina Sea Islands. For the past quarter of a century Beaufort has served as the backdrop for more than 20 major motion pictures, to include Forrest Gump, The Big Chill, The Prince of Tides,and many more. Through this festival we will reintroduce our sweeping marsh vistas, antebellum homes, and quiet charm of the old south to a new generation of filmmakers.

4 - 13 Beaufort Water Festival - Attracting more than 100,000 visitors annually to downtown Beaufort and surrounding areas, the festival celebrates the Lowcountry's bond with the sea, featuring water-oriented activities along with many recreational and entertaining events like kids day, an antique show, Lowcountry Supper, an air show and crafts.

27 - 28 Beaufort Shrimp Festival - Beaufort's Shrimp Festival is a favorite event that celebrates Lowcountry cuisine and incorporates fun activities for all ages. Local restaurants offer samples of Lowcountry dishes featuring shrimp. Prizes are awarded for "best recipe" and "most creative recipe" honors. Highlights of the event include: Friday evening concert in the park featuring live entertainment and yummy shrimp with lighted shrimp boats providing the backdrop for the event. Saturday's festivities begin with a 5k Run over Woods Memorial Bridge, and a 5k "Walk through History" in the historic Old Point neighborhood in Beaufort. Restaurants prepare delicious shrimp specialties to the delight of the large crowds that attend the event each year. Saturday's events also include a servers' race, arts & crafts, live entertainment, a special race for kids (the "Popcorn Shrimp Race"), food and drinks. In a nutshell: Enjoy Lowcountry traditions and cuisine and dance under the stars.

26 National Gaming Day @ Beaufort Branch Library - The Beaufort Branch Library will be joining thousands of other libraries around the country in celebrating the educational qualities and popular appeal of video and board games at the first annual celebration of National Gaming Day @ your library. Bring your friends, your family, or just yourself to the library anytime during the day for fun, food and games! The "game day" events will be going on all day long - from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm so be sure to stop in, play a game or two, grab a snack, and just have some fun!
