Broad Street-Davie Ave. Historic District

category : Historic Districts
The homes in this distric are for the large part restored. Because of the main thoroughfare, many of the homes have been rehabed by businesses. The streets are tree-lined and the district is very beautiful. Four of the town's most fashionable late Victorian houses are located within this district. There is a strong indication that the development of the Davie Ave. corridor was closely tied to prosperity brought about by the woodworking and furniture industry.
